Sublacade for the final days of tapering off of suboxone?Anyone with experience?

Post by rob500 »

Unfortunately there are many different opinions about not only suboxone but also tapering or stopping.

I’m at 6mg per day and it’s too much making me very tired and very low drive to do many things.

I recently dropped down to 4mg and definitely don’t feel as tired as with 6mg per day.

I’ve been hearing some people have used sublacade once they reach a lower dose in their taper with very little if no discomfort.

This is not exact but just the idea of how it may work for someone on 2mg per day for example.

The idea is to get at 6mg or lower and 2-4 months of using sublacade (first 2 months for a steady level in system) then a few months of a lower dose to nothing.

I’ve tapered down to 2mg per day using the strips and that’s the easy part but once below 1mg or 0.5mg per day it can create some discomfort.

Like I said in the beginning there are many different opinions from doctors who prescribe suboxone from using it the rest of your life to using it just for detox and a few months of stability to rapid detox or using Naxolone instead.
However if you have used sublacade and are no longer using any form of opiates please post your experience.

I am sorry that I have no experience with Sublocade, but I admire your efforts to stop. I am struggling just to reduce my dose and I know it is too high at 12 to 16 mg.
I am struggling with the timing and I am hopeful that someone can offer advice on the daily dose timing, such as night or daytime dose.
I do hope you get some insight. Best of luck.
