Re: Metabolizing buprenorphine too quickly

A couple of things could be going on here. Perhaps because of practicing abstinence based recovery, you're coming from the angle of "less is better" in terms of dose. I understand this as I did it myself for a long time. I've also had issues with rapid metabolism, especially while I'm on c...

When's a good time to say you're no longer on Sub if you're coming off Sublocade?

Apparently this stuff lingers in the system for up to a year!

Will I have to wait a year to say my taper is over?

Confused.

Sublocade and Brixadi side effect - not turning in my sleep as usual?

I think most people who've abused agonists in the past would know about this effect, especially if they've used a drug before going to sleep at night. Remember waking up and not being able to use one of your legs for a little while? Once or twice I remember waking up and completely collapsing as one...

This reminds me of the klang associations some people play with medication names.

Abilify! Gives you the abilify to conquer your psychosis!

Sublocade! Your pesky heroin addicts won't be able to get through this suBublockade!

Re: Need to vent...

Yeah the progressive nature of addiction is particularly nasty. It seems to be the same people where it's hit a point where the OD very regularly. It's as if their addiction has taken over and they no longer care whether they live or die. Though I'm sure if they got a clean moment, and if someone sh...

The whole mouth is the focal point. The more surface area you get your strips / pills / whatever to cover, the more you absorb. So use your tongue to paint that baby around.

Can you not use the acronym "swim" because I'm a swimmer and it's actually confusing. I enjoy swim nights too?

Re: My ongoing review of CAM2038 - Brixadi / Buvidal depot

After a while on Buvidal I've been switched to Sublocade. Doctor just thought it would suit me better because of my rapid metabolism. I was getting the Buvidal shots every three weeks, and word amongst the doctorcloud was Sublocade was a better option for those of us who burn through things a bit qu...

Dead is a strong word. I prefer to think of it as Nicki Sixx in the ambulance. Dead, but not.

Re: Have you had COVID?

Something interesting I've noticed is that a lot of the antivaxxers I know have no issue putting class A drugs or copious amounts of alcohol into their bodies. And drugs which they have no idea of their adulterants. But a vaccine that's been tested on countless populations they cry foul. Anti vaxxer...

Re: My ongoing review of CAM2038 - Brixadi / Buvidal depot

Yes I am. 128mg a month finally I've reached a dose that manages my cravings and provides adequate blockade. Haven't messed up in a long time on any kind of illicit substance. Sadly this dose leads to some of the standard sexual side effects, but it's manageable and well worth it. I'd rather be on 1...

The raw material - thebaine, comes from my country. Haven't heard anything about it being shut down. Tasmania has no cases.

Re: Have you had COVID?

Victoria got hit with a second wave after it escape hotel quarantine. We had to shut down for about 8 weeks and it stopped it. Still was a very difficult time. Hadn't isolated that much since my addiction. Still they said we've the only place that prevented a wave like that from hitting the majority...

Re: Hopespring saying hi from the rear view mirror

Interesting how you talk about people remembering the WD's as "not being too bad". I believe for some lucky people it genuinely isn't. The whole partial agonist / antagonist thing seems to make it a bit less predictable than methadone and heroin. But the vast majority go through marked dif...

You guys are both doing amazing, don't forget it. It does get better. In a few weeks you'll look back at how you are now and then you'll notice the recovery in motion.

It might be worth getting your liver function tested if you were an IVDU. Always good for peace of mind anyway.

Re: My ongoing review of CAM2038 - Brixadi / Buvidal depot

I get my dose every three weeks now for this reason.

It solved this issue.

However the same issue that I got with higher dose Suboxone has kicked in, namely I've felt my world shrink somewhat. Don't really want to go out, socialise, date etc etc
