Re: Sublocade it is finally happening!

Hey Acoustic,

Thanks for the reply! My doctor ended up having to prescribe me my full 20 mg dose because the sublocade was not doing anything! I still have a bump from the shot (has only gone down a little bit) What part of Utah are you from Acoustic?

Re: Suboxone Urine Level Issue

I agree with the doc. I feel like urine testing is overemphasized in alot of clinics and my doc seems to agree with me. He told me that alot of places will send urine test to labs to get more money from insurance :( Someone on here mentioned getting blood levels drawn for Buprenorphine. Was that exp...

Re: Sublocade Last Friday, surgically removed tomorrow!

Hey Ashlee,

I acutually mis spoke, I called my insurance and they are going to start covering generic subutex again! That means my prescription is 10$ vs $100. I called my doctor and it looks like I will have to get the sublocade mass surgically removed :(

Re: Sublocade Last Friday, surgically removed tomorrow!

I had the exact same reaction to sublocade. It was ok when I still had some leftover buprenorphine from the tabs but once that ran out I was in full withdrawal. Also it has been three weeks and the lump from the injection site has not gone down at all! I was super excited about Sublocade but it ende...

Re: Suboxone Urine Level Issue

I have had this exact same issue. I was going to a clinic type facility and I was taking 24 mg and my levels were showing that I was taking 2-4 mg. They dropped me as a client :( I know go to a doc that just tests to see I have Bupe in my system, he does not care about the levels. Also I was taking ...

Thanks doc that makes sense! Do you think we need more compounds or are you happy with the way the current medications are working?

Re: New opioids for maintenance treatment

Thanks for the reply doc! So I am not talking about new dosage strengths (but I do agree we need a 1.5 1 and .5 milligram strength bupe tab) I am talking about brand new compounds that are being researched for maintenance treatment and if anyone thinks morphine maintenance or heroin maintenance will...

New opioids for maintenance treatment

Hey Guys, I know the Drug Addiction Treatment Act allows for physicians to prescribe schedule 3,4,or 5 narcotic medications that have been specifically approved for opiate treatment. As of right now in the US we only have two of these medications (Buprenorphine, Methadone) does anyone know of any ot...

Re: Sublocade it is finally happening!

To answer your question yes, It takes two months to reach steady state with the 300 mg shots and 3-5 with the 100 mg shots. The doctor is giving me some subutex to supplement with and he wants to continue with the shots. If I can get through this first month I should be in the clear I just need to f...

Re: Sublocade it is finally happening!

So I am now eating my words about how great this treatment is.... I felt GREAT the first three days and then crappy day 4 and then starting day 5 I have been in full withdrawal :( I see my doctor on Tuesday and hopefully he can give me some sub strips. This has been one of the most disappointing wee...

Re: Sublocade it is finally happening!

So Ive been on sublocade for a little over 24 hours and everything has been going really well. From what I can tell so far this is for those that are on higher doses of Buprenorphine. To me is almost feels like ive taken 32 mg. It was super nice to wake up and not have to take an extra thirty minute...

Re: Sublocade it is finally happening!

I just got the sublocade injection! Just a warning for anyone who is planning on getting the shot, it is very very painful. It feels like someone if pinching you as hard as they can for 90 seconds. Its been about 5 minutes and I can feel it kicking in! It feels like I just took 16 mg at once. I will...

Long term studies on Buprenorphine

Hey Guys,

Does anyone have a link to a study that looks at the long term efficacy of buprenorphine treatment? I am trying to show my parents all of the beneficial scientific data on buprenorphine :)

Thanks!!

Sublocade it is finally happening!

So I posted about this a while back and it ended up taking forever to get the sublocade figured out! It took my insurance 14 days to get it approved and then my doctor sent the script to the wrong pharmacy and they took forever to let me know. Then the correct pharmacy had to do there own benefits i...

Re: Sublocade

Ashlee, I will be starting at 300 mg hopefully on Monday or Tuesday! I am thinking that it will be more beneficial for me, when I take the sublingual buprenorphine I end up swallowing alot of it so the shot will ensure that I get the most out of my dose. I got my doc to take a blood test and he said...

Re: Rapid Metabolizer for Buprenorphine?

Hey Doc, Thanks for the info! I tried talking to the doctor about a blood test but he says they do not do blood tests for Buprenorphine at that facility. He said that my levels were so far off that I am either kicked out or going to have to do observed dosing every single day. I did make a big mista...
