Any one have experience taking the generic Buprenorphine made by Roxane Labs? Other than the price
difference do you find it as effective as far as duration?

Subutex or suboxone?

I've taken the generic subutex I'm pretty sure they make. It worked just like the normal stuff.

Duration & feelings were identical.

I have been on Suboxone/Buprenorphine since September 2011 and thanks be to GOD have remained clean and sober ever since.

Initally I was started on Suboxone SL Tabs and took them for about 6 months. I was switched to the generic subutex (bupe) after that due to various adverse side effects - swelling and numbness in my extremeties, headaches, and vomitting. I've taken every brand of generic there is and honesty feel the generic form works just as good as the brand name. There is debate and opinon about which generic is the best and so on but in all honesty -- it's the same medication! The only brand I did not care for was the version made by Hi-Tec simply because they were too darn small.

The best thing for one to do is to not get caught up in the which generic is best mind-set; they all work the same.

I was switched to subutex when I found out I was pregnant with my now almost 9 month old daughter.. I also had alot of adverse effects from suboxone like sweating, no energy, overall I just felt like I had severe depression. I was ready to make a dr appt to see about going on depression meds until I found out I was pregnant.. I started out fine on suboxone so I never attributed all those symptoms to sub.. The only form of subutex I have ever taken was Roxane.. Within a few days of my switch, every single one of the bad symptoms I had disappeared.. Its now been about a year and a half and they havent returned. In my opinion I love Roxane labs subutex.. it definitely turned my life around.. Im happy and normal every day now, I was no wheres near that before.
