Congratulations Robin on your fantastic success! It's people like you that give us all hope to do the big jump.

I read your taper schedule and it looks too radical for me but I'm glad it worked out for you. Can you give us a time frame of how much time you gave yourself between drops? Your drops are too big for me but may work for others. How you went from 2mgs to 1mg w/o taking a little more blows me away. My drop from 1.50 to 1mg was too much (33%), yours was a 50% drop! But everyone is different and you were able to do it.

The main thing is you were able to get off of Sub. I don't know how many members here want off, but I am one of them. Actually, if I was able to stay on for life I probably would, but my doctors says no. I was addicted for 10 years so I think there is hope I can recover to where I was before I started that crazy merry go round. My pain is low enough to use only OTC stuff so I should be okay.

Please give us some more details on how you did it. And please stay here to give us all some hope and advice.

You Rock!

Yay! Congratulations! I can only imagine how freeing it must feel to know you don't have to take a pill everyday just to stay out of withdrawls. By the way you obviously are not a baby. You stuck it out and kicked that subs little Orange ass! I am so happy for you and looking forward to the day when I can join you being sub free.

YAY! Go, Robin! It's a big accomplishment. :D

Your taper was rapid and steep. I wish I knew why some people can go that quickly and other people have to do these tiny baby steps. I guess that if we end up where we want to be, it doesn't really matter.

Congrats!!!! Now the power is yours. I also did a rapid taper, it hurt, but the pay off of knowing that pain ie. I will NEVER put myself through that again!!! is worth every ailment.
