I swiched insurance carriers and there are about 100 doctors in my area that take my insurance and can give perscriptions for suboxone but not 1 will take my insurance for suboxone. They all want cash. Why? My old doctor took my insurance but he needed to call a number to get pre-approved and he will not do it for some reason. I think he may have lost his license to give out subs. Anyway wehy do doctors just take cash and can anything be done about it? I'm ready to write the local newspapers opinion section and moan about this saying doctors are discriminating against addicts. It will get published (I got a juice card) and if anyone can give me things I can say it will be helpful.
