My friend's husband has idiopathic pulmonary hypertension. He has lived much longer than his original prognosis from 20 years ago. The other night he was rushed to the hospital because he his lungs were filling with blood and he could not breathe. Fortunately, he stabilized on his own. But his specialist, who is world renowned in this field thinks that his disease is progressing and that it may be time to put my friend's husband on the transplant list for new heart and lungs.

Whatever type of praying, sending positive thoughts, etc. that you do, would you please do so for my friends Michelle and Chris? I was the matron of honor in their wedding last summer. Michelle knew that this was in their future, but she hoped they would have more time.

If you need to add a prayer request to this post, please do.

Amy

Michelle and Chris will def be in my prayers. That is heartbreaking. As an addict, I tend to focus on how difficult life can be. I'm always thinking how much more difficult my life is over my friends because I have an addiction and they don't. Hearing stuff like this about ur friends Amy really makes me realize I should remember how truly grateful we should be. How awesome ur friend must be to love someone so much to just be happy to spend what time she can with him. They will absolutely be in my prayers.

I will absolutely pray for your friends, Amy. Thank you for giving us their names so we can be more specific in our prayers. Not only for healing for Chris, but for comfort and strength for Michelle.

I believe that the Holy Spirit knows what we need even before we do. It says in Isaiah 65 that "Before they call I will answer; while they are yet speaking I will hear." I will be praying for God's mercy on them and their family.

How blessed they are to have a friend who cares for them so deeply. I'm sure that you will be a special blessing and comfort to Michelle in the weeks to come. I will also pray that God will use you to show his love for them during this difficult time.

Hugs,

Q

I am so very sorry. You don't know me at all, but I will definitely say a prayer.

Going back to what @justjenn mentioned,
Quote:
"As an addict, I tend to focus on how difficult life can be. I'm always thinking how much more difficult my life is over my friends because I have an addiction and they don't."

We all tend to forget the reality that our time on this earth is fragile and our future is so uncertain. I think about this whenever I'm feeling upset or angry and it really puts things into perspective, especially as an addict.

Wishing all the best for what your friend is going through.

Crystal
