And if you really want to share, can you find it on youtube or something?

This is my favourite song today! This guy's from the UK.

Some of the best music albums came out of the Fillmore East arena. This is Jefferson Airplane at their best. If you've never heard the whole album you're missing a classic.

We met Grace Slick a few months ago at a art gallery. Talking to a rock god. Welcome to my world of 60-70's rock.

I remember growing up to my father playing this in the lounge on vinyl with a whisky and a smoke! Along with Deep Purple, The Beatles, Leonard Cohen, Pink Floyd and a few others on rotation. They were a fantastic band. Were you at Woodstock rule?

Ann. He's kinda half rapping half singing. The funny thing is the guy who sings it is a little white ginger kid!

Here's another one of his that's on rotation down here at the moment. Very pertinent to some of us!

It's a good song, but she looks way too healthy to be a full time crack head.

Yeah, that's a good one too. I like his music and it sucks to think of all the women out there doing that very thing at this very moment.

Yeah. I'm really surprised by the amount of emotion these Irish bands manage to squeeze into a tune. The Irish are an incredibly passionate people, and love a good fight!

On that vein, here's something from my part of the world. This guy's from Byron Bay a beautiful town on the coast near where I had that year off all opiates. Subtropical weather, beaches, guitars, surfies, hippies... ahhh I miss that place.

I can't pull up links today.. running towards the beach soon.

But, sigh.. I, tinydancer, am a music junkie. Some quick ramblings on my favorites.. sorry for the lack of complete sentences or thoughts even.

The Black Crowes

(probably my top favorite band. I love everything they do but especially with Marc Ford as the lead guitarist (Amorica, SHAMC, etc.. Recent albums with Luther Dickinson are at the top of my list too)
Neil Young
New Mastersounds (the album 'this is what we do' is one of my favorite driving albums)
Anything Jack White
Bob Dylan
(mostly all but Street Legal is a favorite. 'Baby, Stop Crying' just rips my heart apart. "You've been down to the bottom with a bad man, babe.. but now you're back where you belong".. UGH! This album was dismissed by most critics but I think it has it's place. Several songs get me every time and the emotion in his voice during this album is so raw.)
The Kills
T Rex/ Marc Bolan

Marc Ford (It's about time, Weary & Wired)
Curtis Mayfield
Foster the People (love!)
Miike Snow
Sade
Joni Mitchell

These are a some of my favorites... I am truly a southern rock lover through and through but can appreciate almost anything.

Haha.. I know a backhanded complement when I see one.

I forgot the Black Keys and the Meters. Two others in my frequent rotation.

My wedding day kind of sums up my music interests I think. I walked down the aisle to a Spanish guitar trio playing Zeppelin's Whole Lotta Love. Hubby and I walked in to the reception together to the black key's 'Howlin' for you'.. and our first dance was an Otis Redding song. Then we all shook our asses to Cissy Strut on the dance floor. LOL

Music was partly responsible for my down spiral (a story for another day) so it's only fitting that it helped save me. =)

is even going to ALLOW you to SPEED!!!

HA HA HA HA

anyways,,,, yes, it was good no matter HOW ya slice it. or smoke it!!! (that you didn't get busted w/an ozzy of weed)
LOL

here's ONE of my favorites......

the FIRST time I heard this song, I was in a 72-hour Detox Facility, two hours from home, 18 and SCARED TO DEATH
I believe this song's the reason I got through it, although it wasn't until ten + years later that I ACTUALL got cleaned up,
And know what?
I'm forever a kid rock fan

Romeo, I listened to the song you posted about a while back in another music forum and i cannot stop listening to it. The one I'm talking about is titled fader by the temper trap. It was quite a while ago but seeing this reminded me that i was introduced to it by you unintentionally and wanted to mention it.

I'm surprised I haven't heard it on the radio because it is catchy and doesn't contain any explicit lyrics. It's far better than the crap they currently play. I guess if it doesn't sound crappy to people with taste it won't be a hit. The primary aspect for a song to gain a massive following (pre-teen girls) in this day and age is that the singer has to look douchey and be a pretty boy. It's pathetic!

Ok, is anyone listening to Phantogram? I have the album Eyelid Movies and I love it. 'Mouthful of Diamonds' makes me want to cream my pants. 'When I'm Small' is pretty darn good too.

Also listening to The Dead Weather these days. '60 feet tall' is ridiculously good stuff.

In my disc changer:

Crankshaft and the Gear Grinders new album 'What You Gonna Do?' Particularly songs 'Trail of Tears' and 'Dancing in the Dirt.' Minneapolis blues-driven punk tinged sludge.

The Drive-By Truckers whole album 'A Blessing and A Curse.' Phenomenol Southern, I want to say Alabama(?) band that I'm just catching on to that has been around for almost 15 years. Lyrically and musically really great.

Craig Finn's solo album from 2011 'Clear Heart Full Eyes' was the best album of that year Lyrically IMO. Craig Finn is, of course, the leader of the Brooklyn band The Hold Steady and was formerly the frontman of Lifter Puller from Minneapolis circa 1994-2000.

The Mountain Goats - All Hail West Texas album from 2001ish but typically still at least a weekly listen!

The Bloodthirsty Lovers - S/T album on Frenchkiss Records. Brainchild of David Shouse of the Grifters and Those Bastard Souls fame. Lyrically great dude.

Oh, and one of my favorite records of all time on the turntable is Jim Carroll Band's 'Catholic Boy' album. Check out the deeper song 'Crow,' it's how I start my day often. Any recovering junkie should figure out what Jim Carroll is all about if they haven't already.

Tiny Dancer-

I saw that you referenced two Alison Mosshart bands (The Kills and the Dead Weather) are you familiar with her old pop-punk band Discount? They were a fav of mine at the time, like mid-late 90's. Their stuff is really hard to find and is mostly comprised of limited run 7" and CD/12" releases and a 10" of Billy Bragg covers which was really great called 'Love, Billy.' Also another full length they released and I think has since been re-released is called Half-Fiction. Just FYI. I had a big crush on her at that time before she had any level of fame and it was really great to see her catching on a few years later! I didn't keep up with the Kills or the Dead Weather but I should!
