Tiny, I almost fell on the ground when you said phantogram-when I'm small.... Which made me think of this when it first came out... And I still cannot figure out what they've shoved down her throat to sound like this.

I wish I could have the video pop up right here, I'm not good like that apparently :)

There is a live version on you tube that's cool.. a big yellow couch session. It's really slow and she sounds like an angel.

So.. I'm assuming that you are probably familiar with The XX then? I was excited for the latest album but it pales in comparison to the original XX album which is amazing all the way through. Anyway, it's a few years old but still hold up.

BTW, to get the video in teh actual post, use the "you tube" button on the post options. A box will pop up that asks you to paste the link. Copy and paste the link in.. if it's an https:/ link, remove the "s". It should just be http:/.. etc. It should work.

Anyway.. it's so chill. I can almost listen to it whenever. I'm still going through my british phase, btw.. I'm just wondering how long it will last? lol. I want to move to london, smoke cigs and just listen to music all day long.

"dancing on the legs of a new born pony
left right left right, keep it up son
go ahead and have her, go ahead and leave her
you only ever had her when you were a fever" -- these lyrics are amaze.

Since it's "throw back thursday"

I'll drop my favorite Dylan song which happens to be from one of the most trashed on albums he's made. I think it's brilliant, despite the too many horns and backup singers throughout the album. The desperation and pureness in his voice is unrivaled by any other album, IMO. Coincidentally, I think this was made right around the time he found Jesus..lol. Go figure. If there is any song that can transport me to earlier years, it's this one. Pure nostalgia for some reason.

Anyway.. "Where are you tonight"

One of my all time favorite live bands.. It's too bad the original bassist isn't in this one but he passed away several years back. The drummer of this band is my favorite drummer, I've had a crush on him for at least 14/15 years. He's just so good in person and so sweet.

Ok, one my fav songs from Gov't Mule

I'm mostly into "dynamic" rock music: punk ('70s and '80s), pop-punk (early '90s), garage and psych ('60s), garage revival ('90s, not like the Hives), power-pop (late '70s/early '80s), Motown ('60s), mod, mod revival, thrash metal ('80s), and '50s (Chuck Berry, Eddie Cochran). I also like a little '90s hip-hop and modern stuff that's more underground.

I just watched the documentary A Band Called Death, about the all-black '70s proto punk band from Detroit. Great film and great music.

Sublime is another one that I can't listen to anymore. Reminds me of the stupid shit from my teens/20s.. Great music though. Jane's Addiction is another one. Radio Head is another.. So much good stuff that's hard to listen too because of what I was doing back then. Grrr.

Cool, thanks! If you're interested in hearing my own music, I've got MP3s and YouTube clips of my old bands up on my blog:

^ How cool sugerybound! Thank you for sharing.

So.. I was listening to one of my Greenhornes albums yesterday and I think I finally pinpointed who they sound like. A perfect blend of stones, brian jonestown massacre, black keys, yardbirds & a little bit of the doors in some songs. That's quite a mix. :D
They have a lot of good songs but these are a few of the more popular ones.

This week I've had The Bamboos album "4" on. I love it and can always listen to it on repeat. The first one is a solo acoustic recording from Kylie Auldist, kind of like a more soulful type of Duffy or Adele.

115 million views on youtube?

My daughter thinks this song is a scream. She's weirder than I thought.

Bahahaha! I can't wait to show my daughter this video!

I see amazing opportunities for supreme embarassment when I break into a chorus of "What the fox say" in front of her friends!

Thanks Romes!
