Greetings! I have been on Suboxone for a little over 2 years. I began at 36 mg/day and am presently taking approx. 4mg/day. I desperately want to be done with this! I've done ok tapering to this dose but I seem to have trouble going lower. I'm not getting any real direction from my Doc on how to taper and have been doing it erratically.

If I decide to quit "cold turkey" what can I expect from withdrawals and the intensity of the symptoms. I can deal with being uncomfortable, etc. as long as I can feel that I am still functional. I care for my 3yo twin granddaughters about 33 hrs/wk. My biggest concern is whether it will too painful or if I will be too sick to continue watching them?

Please help....what experiences have you had in getting off this stuff??

here's a couple of threads about not tapering, and the

JUMP that followed,,, and how it went for them,,,,,,\
gonna post a couple MORE links, to some tapering ideas, too... a little unconventional.. but VERY DO-able
and I'll also post a video,, and I hope that'll help you a little bit....

"cold turkey quit, no taper" thread, about "jumping"... good one, too

"jumped w/o a parachute" second fairly informative jump thread I know of.. a little old, but still worth the time for sure

here's some good taper threads...
this one's called "success!! with the hole puncher method" it is about getting very small, but consistent doses...

"liquid taper".... for the serious tapering person...

taper chart/calculator ... ma-levels/

microgram taper super thread....

anyone can give up,
its the easiest thing in the world to do, but to
hold it together, when everyone would understand if you fell apart
