Lol, might have been crazy but you did it girl!! And thats awesome on finding out the sex :) Please post when you find out ok? I hear you on the anxiety. I suffered from it for years and like I said before its one of my big fears - that the depression and anxiety will come to kick my butt when I'm off but knowing *if* that happens there is something I can take really helps me not to worry too much about it. I can't wait for this taper to be over. Yes, I guess doing it this way was good but man, I am ready to be finished. Almost there :) I'll keep you posted, please do the same!

Just wanted to let you know I DID IT!!

I jumped last Tuesday and although no picnic, nothing severe. I jumped from around .25 after tapering since June. Sooo relieved that I got through it and wanted to THANK YOU because you were a big inspiration to me.

Please update when you have a chance ok? Hope all is well and the pregnancy is treating you nicely.

Big Hugs!!

Free_Bird---Oh my goodness!!! I am soooo happy for you!!! That is so incredible that you are finally free!!! That must have taken a lot of hard work, dedication and commitment to taper that low. That is just awesome. You should be sooo proud of yourself!!!

It's funny, I never get on here anymore, since I am not really on subs and just happened to today. I have been on the other forum you mentioned and check in on your progress there :). I didn't know you finally jumped, though, so that is just AWESOME!!! How are you feeling?

So, as far as I am concerned...yes, still off the subs, but unfortunately, my doctor put me back on a low dose of hydrocodone. I was still having some pretty severe pain from the withdrawals and my existing chronic pain condition. I was SOOOO against this, but was really struggling. They started me on 4 pills/ day and taper plan to where I am just slowly reducing every month at first (talked them into eery 3 weeks last visit). I have honestly begged to get off of them sooner, but they are worried that with the withdrawals will be hard on the baby. Which is funny because neither worried about the sub withdrawals on the baby. So, I am at 18.25 mgs of hydrocodone right now, and about reduce to 2 pills or 15mgs next Wednesday. Then another reduction 3 weeks from then. I go back to the dr on 10/12 and going to beg again to reduce every 2 weeks since I am handling the taper of these just fine.

I am 26 weeks on Friday and having a GIRL....already have a boy and a girl, so was really ok either way this time! I am actually doing pretty good these days and functioning well, so I guess I can't complain. Again, I feel like this was a huge step back in getting back on hydros but I am following the plan to a T this time. I have a lot of people assuring me that this low dose of hydros won't be as bad as th 2mg of sub I jumped from. Regardless, I have to do another withdrawal. I was so worried about it for the first month or so that I wasn't even living my life. I finally had to tell myself...it's not today...so just do what you have to do for today, and deal with that later. It gets me down sometimes, but like I said I am following directions this time around.

Again, I am SOOOO happy for you. You are one determined momma!!! Please keep in touch!!!
