hey guys,

on the online application process, best buy said they would test for in the drug test: marijuana, opiates, cocaine, amphetamines, phencyclidine. Will suboxone show up on the test? I do not want to tell them I am prescribed to it as they will immediately know that I am a recovering addict and do not want them to hold it over my head, on the other hand, if it will show up, I rather let them know before hand so I definitely get the job.

Thanks so much, I appreciate everyones advice and input!!

Hey whats up....

I am not an expert at all....nor a doctor, just a recovering opiate addict on suboxone for over 6 months. It has saved and changed my life and allowed me to pursue an active recovery instead of active addiction like the full opiate agonists did. I am glad you too have found suboxone to be helpful!!

As for the drug tests.......there are so many different ones out there now-a-day's. I am just going to assume it is one of the very basic 5 or 7 panel drug tests. If that is the case then buprenorphine (suboxone) SHOULD NOT come up hot for opiates. THERE ARE drug tests with multiple drugs including bupe that some have mentioned on the forum, but I have not seen or heard of them as of yet....which doesn't mean they aren't out there, but you should google it or something....
The suboxone or bupe drug tests that I have heard of and seen are the single drug tests, just for bupe. I am sure that some will test seperatly for bupe, but not as many do now I don't think. As the drug becomes more popular and abuse too the more and more you will see bupe being tested for.

In your case, my GUESS would be you SHOULD be fine.....

Good luck, I hope it works out.....keep us updated!!!!!
