This is my first visit, started suboxone last week. I drank a few beers on Saturday and Sunday.
I wont do this again in fear of being kicked out of the program. My appointment is Thursday.
Will this be long enough to be clean ? thanks

Are you sure they test for alcohol? Is it a special program or just your doctor's office? In all my years of maintenance, I haven't heard of alcohol testing, but maybe your situation is different or the country you're in...?

Not sure, never done this programm before so I didn't want to blow it.
Didn't` read about it until after the fact. Anyways I feel much
better since I haven't plus its safer not to.
Thanks

Thank you
I just wont drink during this time or at least cut
down a. My plan is to go on 8 mg this this week.
I started on 12mg last week. The next week 4, then 2,
then 1 and be done with it. Try to do this in 4 to 6
weeks. My heart tells me to do this. Its not going to
be totally comfortable but the less time it takes me
the better off ill be. Will let you know how this works.
Was doing 2 to 6, 7.5's and 10's hydro's everyday for about a
year, with the exception of kicking it for a week. It
kicked my ass but I did it. Damn if I didn't start doing
it again. Hopefully with the sub I can do it this time with
a lot less pain. we shall see. I don't want to go through this again !

I was researching urine tests one day as well as swab tests and was surprised to find that tests have been able to show drinking in the last 21 days that was a swab test and up to four days on a urine test clean ur system with water and eat total cereal to make your urine yellow again if it is clear the drs Or labs are hip to that. Word of the wise sometimes drinking water can result in an inconclusive test which they will make you repeat or in some cases just drop you for the program if they feel as if you are trying to get one over on them

I don't have any experience with quick tapers, so I really can't help with that. But I wanted to give you a quick reminder that drinking while on sub isn't advisable. If you decide to drink anyway, just be careful since they are both respiratory depressants.
