I wanted to take my time and write the perfect story but the more I thought about it the more I wanted to get my story out. When I was pregnant, I checked this page 5x's a day looking for others experiences. I want people to know there is hope.

Rewind to 2012. I was on 4 mgs of suboxone. I told the hospital it was for a 5 year old hero on addiction. I hadn't done any drugs since then and I knew I would come up clean when they tested everything of mine and the baby multiple times. The hospital staff were horrible to me. Super rude. I was sobbing before I even felt a contraction because they told me all of their "methadone patients can't do couplet care because they need meds and my baby will too" surprise. They let my baby stay with me and he was perfect. We left within 3 days. We live in Arizona and they don't know about suboxone and
Subutex.

My next baby I took Subutex throughout. I ended up weening to 2 mgs right before delivery. I told the L&D and pp that I took sub for pain and I was treated so differently. I did not do any drugs in almost 7 years and believe me they meconium test. I just wore my best jewelry and clothes and treated all the nurses with respect. Use their names. One even came in and was like I can't believe you take this med I used to stereotype against this.

She was born perfect no WDs and we were sent home in 24 hrs.

Good luck Mamas. Please email me with any question

Thank you so much for posting that story. We have so many women here that are scared about being on Sub during pregnancy. Hopefully your story will ease some of their anxiety.

Congratulations on your two healthy children!

That is awesome that your babies were just fine. I was on subutex during my pregnancy as well. I think I may also make a post about my experience. Like you, I was on the internet searching for "pregnant on subutex." I found some stories but not enough to keep from worrying. I will try to post my story tonight after my sweet girl is in the bed. If I start now, Im sure to have to stop in the middle....you know how that is? Anyways, thank you for sharing your story!
