Tiki, Lizzie, and Amy,

Thank you all so much for the kind words and Birthday wishes. I had a great day today with family and friends spoling me rotten with a party/baby shower! :D

And Amy, I'm quite certain I will be posting into the wee hours of the morning on occasion. But I'm going to thoroughly enjoy every second of it too!

And I will say again that being off every single addictive substance is the best feeling in the world right now. I'm overwhelmed with emotion when I think about how far I've come. I didn't give up along the way either. I realize it will be a fight for the rest of my life, but I've prepared myself well for the fight with additional support.

Thanks again ladies for the continued support. Can't tell you how much it's appreciated. I'll update again later as the time gets closer. Talk about excited!

Karen xoxo

Hope no one gets upset at this post, but it's about time for the blessed event to finally happen. Strong contractions the last few days and I thought yesterday was going to be it. Saw my OB today because I thought it was time. She is betting it will be either later tonight or perhaps tomorrow. I am soooo ready to do this!

Hurting just typing this, but wanted to put this in my thread. I have a strong feeling it's going to be tonight, or early am perhaps.

So relieved I'm off all drugs and no worries for the baby. Never thought it was possible, but it certainly is so please keep fighting if you're tapering and wanting off. It's so worth it.

Take care everyone and I'll give an update soon! :D

Karen xoxo

Ooh.. how exciting!! You must be thrilled. I'm hoping for a slightly early delivery. What did the doc say? How far are you dilated at this point? % Effaced?? Do you know what position She's in? Anterior/posterior? I'm so afraid of back labor.

Wishing you all the best and a smooth delivery. If it's like anything else you go through, I am quite certain it'll be a walk in the park. I'll look out for any updates!

Hi Tiny,

I wanted to update you before I get ready to go in! :D This is so exciting. It might not be that way in a little while.

The baby is in the left anterior position. I am dilated to 4 cm and my contractions have went from every 15-20 minutes to now about every 5 minutes. My mom is going nuts getting things ready to head to the hospital trying to push me out the door.

The back pain is somewhat bad, but not terrible. I'm going to try to do this without any pain meds if possible. I'm not going to suffer, but if I can hold out I will.

Thanks Tiny for the well-wishes and I hope your doing well and feeling good. Let me know whats going on with you.

Talk to you later as I do believe now is the time!!!

Karen xoxo

WOOOO HOOOO!!! :D

Karen is a new Mommy!!! And COMPLETELY overjoyed!!!

She is perfect in every possible way. I had a fairly easy time. Labor was about 6 hours. I'm very tired, a little bit of pain, but so EXCITED I can barely stand it!!! :D

The little one weighs 7 lbs 6 ozs, and is 19 1/2 inches long. She has no problems and appears to be in perfect health. No chance of addiction which is so wonderful!! :D

I bawled for a solid hour when I finally had her in my arms!!! My Mom wants to take her home with her!!!

I'm doing fine, very tired, a bit sore, but it was sooooo worth it!!! My whole world has now changed.....for the better!!! It was truly an AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!!

Thanks Tiny, Lizzie, Razor, QHorse, and Amy for all the kind words!

I'm including a pic of her. Isn't she beautiful????

Karen xoxo

She's beautiful and that hat is to die for. You should have her model hats.

Why bother posting pics if you're going to post fake pics?

Some might think I'm being mean but I've bit my tongue long enough.. you need a reality check. Try being real for once in your life. That is the type of therapy you need. Good luck.

I'm out.. peace.

Here is the Etsy picture that is the exact same one as Karen posted as her child:
