I gave you the number of one in Neptune that takes insurance and works on a reduced basis for people that don't have it.. She'll get you in quick too.. Can't do much more than that

Hi there, I think you are posting a "new topic" instead of "post reply". And yes, sometimes it takes a TON of phonecalls to find the doctor that will see you the soonest. Or takes you rinsurance. Unfortunately that's just how it goes. Keep your head up and remember why you are doing this. It's all for a good cause. You can look under the Need a Doctor dection also and see if someone had posted a doctor in your area....

Also naabt.org will help to find a doctor. I got a bunch of hits on that website. Good luck and if I can think of anything else, I'll let you know.

I went through almost every single one until I found my doctor. What I did was to cross reference my PPO doctors with the list of Suboxone doctors and just started at the top and went down. I did find one or two who said they supply Suboxone only for pain. That I found odd but not good for a new inductee.

Every time I got the receptionist on the phone I'd ask if the doctor was an Addiction Specialist. If so, then came the insurance question.

Yes I know, very frustrating. I had to do it twice because I moved.

Happy searching,

Rule

Sorry you are having such a time of it CD. Hang in there, it is most certainly worth the trouble. I wish I could provide some help regarding finding a sub doctor, but I don't believe I can outside of telling you how I found mine. I consulted with my Psychologist about a good in-patient program for drug addiction and went through a 10 day program. They Psychiatrist who was my main physician during my in-patient treatment accepted me as a new client upon my discharge from the in-patient treatment. She is a sub doctor as well as a Psychiatrist.

I am not suggesting you go through all of that, just providing ideas for what others have done. If you were able to research some of the drug treatment facilities in your area, you may just be able to find a sub doctor that way. Well, worth a shot any ways in my humble opinion! Good luck and keep at it my friend. You won't be sorry!

Take care!
