For discretion, (I live in a smaller town) I drive to Nashville every month for my appointment and to fill my script. I either go to Kroger or CVS. Most of the time they do to have then entire script in stock and it forces me to come back the next day for the remainder. Is it ok, or would they be allowed to devulge this over the phone, to ask the. If they have the 45 strips in stock. Say I call a day or two ahead of time..if not, would they order it for me to have ready, even before the script is presented?

Also, depending on who has the entire script, like I said, I sometimes go to CVS and sometime Kroger...is this wrong? Will it raise red flags? I am only filling one script a month from one doctor so I figured it would be fine. What do you think?

Calling ahead of time shouldn't be a problem at all. Actually a lot of pharmacies appreciate the heads up to have time to order something that they otherwise don't normally keep a lot of in stock. Using both pharmacies based on what is in stock shouldn't present a huge problem but I would personally pick the one you are most comfortable with and call them monthly to order.

I've found that if I know the people at the pharmacy pretty well, they've done things like check stock for me before I bring my script in. Sometimes if they don't know you and it's a controlled substance, they might not be as accommodating. Mom and pop places are often a bit friendlier, but not always. It really just depends on the pharmacy worker you talk to, their policies, and what the hell kind of mood they are in that day!

Like PharmacyGirl said, I don't think using two different pharmacies is necessarily a bad thing, but it might work better for you to stick with one and develop more of a relationship with them. They might be more likely to order ahead for you since you don't live nearby.

Just my little ole two cents. :)
