Romeo, Butterflyingoooo, JohnnyIkon, DirtyBlonde and others...

I disappeared for a while as my first attempt to stop didn't last that long...A tad embarrassed which is stupid as I know many others have been in the same position.

I tapered down a bit further and am now almost a week sub-free. Some evil days but seeing the light now with a big smile on my face. There was no going back this time as I had used up all my supply. For me it would be IMPOSSIBLE to do this with any Subs left. Its just too easy if you feel evil to grab at a pill to make it better.

Special thanks to those above for their personal advice...NICE ONE!
(If I've missed you off, sincere apologies)

Hey Kanzeon, think I mentioned this before, but I found it a lot easier to commit to my jump when I got rid of all remaining Subs. Like parachute jumping, once you're out of the plane, there's no going back.

Where are you at in terms of a recovery plan? Having something or someone to rely on is a huge part of sobriety, trying to do it alone can suck.

I mentioned before I'm Four-and-a-half years sober off the booze after 12 years of struggling with that. I'm just going to apply the same methods. I'm cool. I just had to get to where I am now. I'm under no illusions, I know it isn't going to be sailing off into the sunset - but what/who I have in place around me I solid. But yeah.. THANKS!

It took me 3 tries to get off suboxone. For me I just was not mentally ready to get off it. Getting that first week out of the way is huge! Every week you will see huge improvements. Even as I approach 2 months clean I still see noticeable difference week after week. Every time I think I am 100% I feel even better the next week!
