I didn't know what section to put this in so I apologize if its the wrong one. Feel free to move it if it needs to be moved- just not to the members only section because I can't ever seem to log in any more. Lol

Logging in has become a matter of pure luck for me anymore. Sometimes it takes 2,3 or even 4 attempts to get logged in. Yes, I'm spelling everything correctly. Lol.. Then, I'll get logged in, type up a reply, hit submit and boom- it takes me back to the log in screen again- message I just typed gone.

Anyone else experiencing this? It's mostly on my iPad that's running ios6- but it happened prior to the iPad update. Is it an iPad thing?

Kim, I will mention this to Jim, but you might want to send him a PM as well - Jamez70 - he's the technical guy.

Does it make any difference if you check the "keep me logged in" button when you sign in?

I'll try that- never thought of that.. that could be it because it only seems to be on the ipad.. My desktop has the "keep me logged in" box checked but the iPad doesnt... Thanks

edit** after I hit "submit" (from my desktop this time) it said "invalid session" and made me resubmit that last message.. Better than losing the message to go back to the log in screen, but still mildly wonky..

Nogroovin,

I use my iPad too. Sometimes it logs me out but mostly it's fine.

One thing about iPads is they don't have a lot if memory. If you have a few tabs open and go back and forth between them, it will reload the page when you come back. This sucks if you are writing a long response and go to copy something from somewhere else, come back and your post is gone. I use the notes app to compose long posts with links and quotes etc... Then copy and paste it to a reply here. Sounds like a pain but it's quicker than re writing a long post.

Hi guys!! I actually have this same problem with the log in
process, and getting booted out after typing responses lately.
I'm on a laptop though, not an iPad. Hopefully Jamez can
work his magic again!! Thanks for bringing this up nogroovin,
and for taking care of it Diary!

Ok- so I tried closing all my tabs and doing a hard reset and then clicking the box that says "keep me logged in". It's actually been a little easier to log in- but it gives me that "invalid session" message now. It's nothing major, but based on Kelly having the same experience it sounds like something might be a little funky. Nothing major though- definitely workable. My operating systems are mac osX & ios6- if that makes any difference

It's a long shot. But you could try clearing your cookies. Sometimes they hold onto bad data, and if there's a bug in your browser it's possible it's resending wrong login information even if you type in the write stuff yourself. You could try clearing browsing data - maybe a setting under Safari / Internet in iPad System Preferences... or you could switch to a more compatible browser. Firefox is pretty good for that stuff. Otherwise it might be an SQL problem at Jamez' end.

Every so often, I have trouble logging in too. It seems pretty hit and miss?

I'd say most of the trouble I have is when I click on some threads, I get shot over to an error page. I just hit the back button, and the screen comes up?

Who knows what's going on, computers are just plain weird sometimes.

I haven't heard back from Jamez yet, I will try to get in touch with him again tomorrow.

Hi Diary,
I've never had a problem STAYING logged in, but yes, I'm still having problems logging in. It takes me 2
attempts every single time. This started happening in June. My account had gotten deactivated. I told
hatmaker, and she said that that happens from time to time???? That accounts accidentally get deactivated
without anyone actually doing it. She reactivated it for me, and since then, it always takes me two
attempts to log on. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. But if these other members have
had their accounts deactivated at some point, maybe thats why?? Sounds crazy, LOL, but just thought
I'd let ya know.

It only keeps me logged in if I make sure to check the box.. If not when I try to reply to a message it lets me type it and then kicks me back to the login screen.. That's after taking 2 or more attempts to get thru the log in..lol.. Thats my first warning to copy my reply before hitting submit..

Like Kelly, I'd say this started around June.. I remember someone mentioned something about offensive ads and Dr J chimed in and said he was tinkering with the settings and to be patient .. I just figured it had something to do with that.. It's really not a big deal...nothing a quick save doesnt handle

You know,
I was thinking about this thread today,,,,,,LOL
and it's happened on/off to me lately........... I just thought I was typing in my password wrong, LOL

AND,
the other day, for the first time EVER, I hit the "post a reply" button, and got

"server is down/website currently offline"

I was like WTF??????

I kept hitting 'refresh' but had to close it out, and start all over, LOL

Usually with the iPad you have to stay up to date with all your system updates or after a while sites stop working.
