First question....does suboxone show up in a 10 panel urine screen?
I am just starting school to be an LPN and took a drug test last week (10 panel) and have not received results yet.
second I cant find anything in my schools policy about suboxone.
I cant find any laws on it either...Help! Thank you in advance!

HI KL200,

First of all let me tell you that i work for a company that sells drug test kits. So that being said, I have some background knowledge about drug tests.

Most of the standard 10 panel drug tests do Not test for BUP. However, we are now starting to offer companys the choice to pick what drugs you would like to test for. So basically, if a company wanted to test for BUP they could. They would just have to select that drug code when choosing which 10 drugs they would like to test for.

More than likely they will not test for BUP and just the standard narcotics. But that doesn't rule out the fact that they will.

Good luck with your new job and I hope if works out for you!

APN (advanced practice nurses) can not practice and be on Suboxone in my state. (same as physicians and dentists). To my knowledge LPN's can as long as they have had no problem with
the licensing board, ie, diverting, stealing medications, work while impaired ect.
Our two local occupational medicine clinics do not test for Buprenorphine on their employment screens. But as Raudy said that can vary depending on where you live.
