If someone who didn't have a previous opiate dependence started taking Suboxone.. how long would it take before you experienced withdrawals from it? I would assume it would be more than just a couple of days..

So if you only take suboxone for 3-4 days to clear the withdrawals that the previous opiate would give you and then stop.. Is your body going to really be addicted to suboxone after such a short duration?

I guess what I want to know is suboxone so similar to oxycodone that it is really just a process of swapping out the bodies opiate dependence to a more manageable type of opiate?

My fear is that the opiates are too similar for your body to distinguish as different and even though you haven't taken Sub long enough on its own to experience withdrawals... you will due to the previous opiate dependence.

Any opinions?
