New to the site and so thankful to find you guys

I'm having surgery in about 45 hours. Yesterday I took 8mg subocone film yesterday. Half in the morning half at night. Today I just took 4mg and plan to take nothing else until surgery.

Dr seems to think it will be no problem NorCo will take care of my pain for couple days then back on subs. Do you guys think that's true?

Also do you think if I did a liver detox tomorrow would that help the pain meds get rid of the pain better?

It's not major surgery but will be being put under. Have to have my breast implants replaced due to a rupture

Thank you guys!!

Also read somewhere that it's a good idea to start the pain message day before surgery?

Welcome to the forum Flowerchildab,

IMO, it is better to taper down slowly and get as low as possible in the days you have left before surgery. I had to do the same thing from the same dose and got down to 1 mg the day before the surgery. Then I didn't take any the day of. The pain meds they will give you will be sufficient to help with pain but not at 8 mg's.

Go back and look at the Talk Zone about this subject. There are a few pages you might want to print and give to your doctor beforehand so you do get decent pain control. If you have trouble finding it, just ask and I'll find it for you.

Taper, taper, taper. 45 days is enough time. Good luck!
