Does anyone know if you can take amitriptyline for sleep while one the subs?

I would ask my doctor about that.

I hope one of the more experienced members will give a more detailed answer.

I know there are other post about taking the 2 drugs together.

You can click on the search tab at the top of this page, in a couple seconds a new page will appear and at the top right you can type in amatryptaline (sp?) and then at the bottom of the various options tell it to search for that drug and you can find threads and posts/replies about that drug.

I'm no doctor, but I don't see why there should be much of an issue. Many people take sub with sedating medication like Seroquel / Trazodone etc. I'd suggest you check it out on med interaction search.

The only warning is for CNS depression, which is pretty standard precautionary measure when two depressant medications are taken. However, this isn't a concern for us because most of us are pretty tolerant to buprenorphine... and it has no respiratory depression at all.
