Hi. I hope none of you judge me for this but i need some help. I have a court date Wednesday and when i found out last week i went and scored some suboxone (which was a drug of choice of mine). The court date is for failing a drug test for suboxone. It was a lab test with a cutoff of .5 ng/ml of bupe and 2ng/ml of norbupe. They now want me to take the same test again. I managed to buy myself two days at the least. I took two 8mg strips, one sunday and one monday. If i fail this second test ill most surely go to jail, and that will conpromise my sobriety that i have worked hard for minus this last slip up. Can anyone tell me how long it will be before i test clean? Just so you know this is a gc/ms test, not a dipstick test. Please help me, because i know if i go to jail for that long im not going to give a damn about sobriey once i get out. Thank you for any and all help and support.

Jay,

Sorry about your situation and I hope you're not sitting in jail right now. We all hope for the day that the courts will recognize Suboxone as a recovery tool instead of a street drug like they do now.

I've never heard of them testing for Suboxone but it doesn't surprise me. And no, we don't know how long it takes for a test to come clean. Everyone has a different metabolism for absorption of Buprenorphine.

If you're not in jail tell us what happened.
