I set up a new web site today that lists all of the doctor- finder web sites that I know of. Please try it out, and make comments about any sites you have tried, regarding usefulness and accuracy, for example. Thanks!

The link:

Suboxone Doctor Database

Or www.suboxdocs.com

There aren't many Suboxone websites, period. The most extensive website is Suboxone-Directory.com. Many of the profiles of suboxonedoctors.com haven't been claimed or added.

I think the best database is the one set up by SAMHSA, which is part of Health and Human Services. They list the people who have the waiver-- but unfortunately, may of the people with the waiver never get around to actually treating opioid dependence. Likewise, there is nobody keeping track of the practices that are full and not taking new patients.

The HHS Secretary announced with great fanfare, a month ago, that the 'cap' would be raised by the end of the year. I'm not holding my breath-- but if it does happen, THAT would be the time to make phone calls.
