Okay, I Went To The Gynecologist This Past Friday And i Found Out That i Have PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome. My Dr Put me on Provera (Which Is To Start My Menstrual) For 10 Days, Then i am To Switch To My Seasonique. I Think They are Both Birth Control But With Seasonique I Get Periods Every 3 mos, My Dr. Doesnt Know im On Suboxone. Have Any Of You Have Experience With Suboxone And Birth Control??? Is It okay to Take Together??

I have been around here for a long time and have never seen anything that would lead me to believe you will have a problem mixing your meds with Suboxone, I would agree with BBOY , I'd talk this over with my Suboxone Dr. just to feel safe about this, Good Luck, Mike

I've never heard or read that it's contraindicated. And it doesn't say anything about it in the pamphlet from the pharmacy either. I know women who are on both sub and birth control. Oh, and you can always just call your pharmacy and they will tell you if it's okay instead of trying to reach your doctor.

I take Yasmin,I too have had PCOS all my life.I asked the sub Dr and its not a problem.I looked it up to be sure and its fine. With Yasmin,I use it like Seasonique.I break from it every 3 mo.Yasmin is better for PCOS'ers because of the Drosperinone(sp?).It suppresses the excess androgens and alleviates all the symptoms of PCOS.Good luck!
