There is so many mixed messages out there, some saying it is bad to mix the 2 and some say it has no effect. The first time i ever took suboxone i was very young and it was my first time and did not feel any effects of the alcohol but did get sick later on. Just looking for an opinion i've been on it for years now and was wondering if it would be safe to consume any alcohol and if anyone has had any experience with it. I know of course you are not so posed to drink on it but that goes for many medications.

I drank when I was on it and didn't have any problem. On the other hand, if you drank too much you could just die too. I suppose if you drank while on opiates then you could probably drink while on suboxone since it doesn't have as much an impact on your respiratory system. It is all a risk....just depends on how great a risk you want to take.
