Sub patient of 3 years that just lost my doctor and I am desperately looking for a doctor who is taking new patients. I literally made over 40 calls this afternoon with NO LUCK! I live in Kelso, WA and so anyone from Portland, Oregon to Olympia, Washington would work. It's the same driving distance either north or south on I-5.

So if you know of any doctors who are taking new patients, I would be soooo thankful!

Sorry SMD, no one seemed to help you out. We all have the same set of resources. The internet, NAABT.org, your insurance company if you have one, and I guess posting here too.

If you do have insurance, be careful about getting it in another state because they may not cover it. A phone call for verification would be in order first so you could get pre-approved.

This is why the country needs the 100 patient cap removed so doctors can help save more addicts lives. Who knows how much misery and death has occurred since they put that cap on Suboxone.

The only other thing I can think of is to ask your regular doctor for a 20 mcg Butrans Patch for pain. It delivers just about 2 mg's of Buprenorphine over 24 hours. Not much, but better than nothing.

Hope you find a doctor,

rule

SMD, still looking for a provider? We will be opening a new clinic in Federal Way in the South Sound. If you're interested in more information, please let me know.
