Welcome to the forum bh129,

You question is a hard one to answer due to what you were taking before induction, how much, how fast your body metabolizes the Buprenorphine, etc. You should be able to cut your dose to 6 mg's w/o any ill effects. I say that because you've been on it for 2 years now. It's once you get down below 4 mg's you have to take it very slow.

I went from 8 mg's to 4 w/o any problems. But that is me, not you.

Are you really sure it's time to stop the drug that may have saved your life or at least kept you out of jail or the streets. You must be 100% sure or relapse is bound to happen.

Like what Lizzie said before. Read the posts in Stopping Suboxone and also this one. There are tons of good advice on how to taper and what to expect.
