IM sure some of you remember my post from a while ago. I tapered successfully. Its been 2 1/2 months since my last sub. IM doing great for the most part. No PAWS, no craving, still going to therapy and all is good. EXCEPT FOR THIS ONE THING.

This is directed particularly towards the men. IM wondering if anyone else has been off the suboxone, or pain killers i guess, and had some sexual issues.

My complaint is that im trying to get into dating again, and the whole sexual problem is getting in the way. When it comes down to the DEED, there is some bad premature ejaculation. And if im lucky enough to get past that and manage to actually PERFORM, i literally have NO stamina, and i USED to. I feel like Im back in high school and its the most embarrasing thing EVER. I dont know what to do, is it just something i have to build back up, or is there another problem, testosterone levels maybe? Someone, please give me some insight, cause im ready to just give up life at 21 and be celibate.

Sorry but I was the first to respond and I am female, but my suggestion to you is to have your testosterone levels checked. Opiates do a number on our sexual functioning, whether male or female. It has been 2.5 months for you off your meds, your body is still adjusting, getting back to good, so to speak. I am sure in time this issue will improve, but don't overlook the testing!
