Hi subject and welcome to the forum,

I can tell you that I plan to stay on suboxone indefinitely. I have chronic pain and can never go back to treating it with full agonists, so my only option is treating it with suboxone (and a muscle relaxer). I'm on between 16-24 mg per day and surprisingly I don't have very many side effects. I'm not aware of any long term effects due to staying on suboxone. If you're willing, maybe you can tell us more about yourself and we can offer you more information. Again, welcome to the forum. Let us know how you're doing.

I went off suboxone for a short time and before getting back on it for chronic pain I researched EVERYWHERE to see what I could find. I couldn't find anything in terms of long term side effects. Needless to say, I went back on it.
