I used for about 10 years without getting Hep C. It wasn't until a period of particularly crazy poly-drug use, combined with a really messy lifestyle and some really immoral things that I regret to this day, that I managed to contract it.

My using partner at the time had hep. He was also a hard one to keep on top of. His stupid ideas nearly landed us in jail twice. If I was just a bit more assertive, and told him X/Y/Z would be a bad idea, then I'm sure I'd have much less regrets. But I'm grateful that Hep C is the worst that happened! There were some really close shaves in those months. And as I said, Hep C is pretty much gone now :)

Yes, what is going on? You gotta talk about things, its bad to hold them in (trust me, I and I bet many others know). If you do not feel like posting about it here, could you at least let us know that you have some type of support system in "real life"? Are you talking to a counselor, social worker, doctor or at least a friend?
