Hi everyone. I'm new to the Forum so maybe I've not read far enough yet but I was hoping to get some input. I'm an already an anxious person...always have been. I noticed since starting on Suboxone it's gotten a lil worse...and that's okay b/c it's better than the alternative but...I've also been draggin ass since starting my program as well. My mom suggested I try B12 as a pick me up but I'm worried that it might make my anxiety crazy bad...Has anyone had experience with Subs and anxiety and taking or taken B12 to boost their energy? If so, what was the outcome and can you recommend a good dosage?

Hi Snoflake,

Do you think the Suboxone is making you tired? Could be depending on how much you're taking. When I was on higher doses I felt really fatigued and took some B-12. You can go for a smaller or larger amount because your body just gets rid of the excess anyway.

And I too am a bit anxious and was concerned as well about taking it. It seemed to help only if I was busy working. If not you might feel a bit anxious.

What dose are you on?

I've just started taking b 12 for the first time in my life. I have to say it works wonders for me. I'm now on 8mgs of sub,down from 12 and feel better than ever. Yes,less is more for me. Thanks to reading on this forum the last four months I've learned so much. So, after 18 months of being clean,I've added B12 just last week. Nonaddict roomate has begun taking b12 also with great success.. . My 2 cents..raz..

Cocaine is pretty good for energy problems I've found.

Hello snoflake! I too had issues with fatigue in the beginning of my treatment. I noticed that it did go away after about 2 weeks. I have anxiety as well but I have tried B12 before. I agree 100% with rule. It worked just fine without making me anxious, as long as I kept busy. Just try a very low dose on a day that you are going to be busy and see how you react to it. Then if it does hype you up too much, you at least will be busy when you have all that added energy.

Exercise was a wonderful way to boost my energy levels naturally. Maybe if you can, try some light cardio 20 minutes a day to start and work your way up from there. When I get super lethargic during the day, I grab the stroller, put my son in it, and go for a walk. It gives me energy for another 4 hours every time! Just a suggestion...

Hopefully you'll get some other ideas besides narcotics on here. While cocaine may in fact give you energy, it can be HIGHLY ADDICTIVE and I certainly wouldn't suggest you try that. TJ wasn't suggesting that you try it, simply that it helps him.

I appreciate the feed back all! I'm currently on 8mg down from 12mg jus like razor. I feel like the dose change helped alot but i still need sum extra help. Im definitly going to start taking it b/c I am one of those people who can never sit still so from what you all shared with me Im pretty confident Ill be okay!~
Goingstrong- You have a great point about the exercise too! I really have to get on that! My two year old will be so excited if i start taking him for walks before work!

When I saw the title I thought it was just another constipation thread.

A good quality B-vitamin supplement (not just B12) can help give a bit of energy I've found, especially when hungover. Other than that, coffee and Suboxone helps.
