What should I expect? I'm nervous, but ready to get my life back. My appt is at 10:00 am and that will be 24 hours since my last dose of percs. Is that enough time? Any feedback is appreciated.

Suz

Welcome to the forum! Congrats on making the decision to stop abusing the percs.

Everyone's experience is a little different. In my experience, the w/d's s stopped and i felt clear in my head, it's hard to explain. It can take a little time to stabilize on a dose but you feel sick or anything.

You are doing the best thing to get your life back so try not to be nervous (easier said than done). If you have a specific question feel free to post. All i can say is you will feel ok.

Good Luck!

Thanks for your reply. I feel really good. Day one I took 2 4 mg tabs and today they moved me up to 12 because I was showing some withdraw symptoms. My fear is this. I have Kaiser insurance and they don't do maintenance. They do a 3 week detox/taper. That seems really quick from what I have read. I'm super scared of the ongoing withdrawl and the PAWS. what do you guys think?

Crap, so did I. That's the problem with running duplicate threads at the same time. Anyhow I question the validity of insurance not providing coverage. Seems odd. See the other thread.
