I've written this before, but it is worth repeating because the information will improve the experience of people using the forum.

There are several ways to search SuboxForum. The Forum archives contain a wealth of information, including questions and answers about hundreds, maybe thousands of topics over the years, and the key to finding information is to use the right tool.

The 'Search' button in the menu at the top of the page will allow you to find words defined in a number of ways, for example in titles, posts, author names, in only the first post of a thread, etc. There is a 'wildcard' function that allows searching for partial matches, and instructions describe how to search for combinations of words, using 'and' or 'or', for example. The process mirrors search engines used the 'old fashioned' way for literature searches in library systems.

A better 'Search' can be found inside the forum, after opening any topic or thread, labeled 'Google Custom Search'. That search function used the logic that Google applies to the internet, but confined to Forum archives. I find that custom search to be much more useful for several reasons, including the ability to search more naturally by entering questions, and the display of more content in each of the search results, making it easier to find the information desired.

Finally, check out http://www.SuboxSearch.com. There you can search the Forum archives using the Google search system, or search my blog using that same function.

And always, thanks for stopping by!
