Lol if it's the same movie I'm thinking of with Matthew Broderick and Anthony Hopkins it's hillarious! Although I have some bad associations with it..... I saw it when I was in really bad withdrawal several years back.....still made me laugh though :) Hope you're doing well Gub

Real quick I wanted to mention that the times I'd tried being clean through abstinence based recovery the insomnia always kicked my ass. I was really into the martyrdom deal where I wouldn't even take tylenol the last time and 4 months later I was still going through really rough PAWs and insomnia led to some wicked depression. Had a fellow recovering opiate friend who went on an SSRI while dealing with PAWs and after about a month he was feeling much better and sleeping for more than a few hours at a time. I should have done the same I think but I was really gung ho on being off ALL medications........anywho the fact I'm a member of the forum is a testament to how well that worked out for me lol :)

I thought the original post included you mentioning the movie Road to Wellville at least I thought that was the title of this thread maybe I just didn't make that very clear. My apologies

Matt..

hahah it did have a reference to Road to Wellville.. haha I'm insane... been a week since I posted that and I even know that's the topic of this thread.. wow..

Anyways.. I'm on day 7 of being without any opiates / subs... really awesome! I slept really really well last nigth.. I did try to go to sleep on my own... had that buzzing feeling again like I was on a ton of energy drinks... though I went and took an ambien and slept like 7 hours.. which was AMAZING....

So based off the last few days, where taking ambien did nothing, then it started to kind of help, and now it's letting me sleep almost 8 hours.. I have to say that I think hopefully my sleep is returning to some what normal.

Anyways, just wanted to give people an update today... I'm on a week of being clean and Sunday I turn 27.. what a good feeling to turn 27 knowing I'm clean of opiates!

Happy Birthday!! Good to hear your sleep is getting better. I thought the lack of sleep was going to drive me insane and in fact I was pretty sure I was starting to hallucinate at one point. I am at about 34 days now and have been sleeping on my own for about 2 weeks I think (neurontin helps).

You can definitely get through the rest of this and you are over the hump. Hang in there.

Cherie
