I have had this same problem and my doctor prescribed xanaflex (tizanidine). It calms and helps control restlessness in your muscles. It has really helped me with restless legs.

My experience with coming off 3 times and having this same problem is that it was MUCH worse when coming off at too high of a dose. I was able to come off after being at 1mg for five weeks before stopping. I still had some leg jerking but it was mild. Go slowwww....

I know this post is old but I just wanted to sympathize with you for a moment:
I had the same problem....that was actually my worst fear before coming off the suboxone was the RLS. I actually told my doctor that I was readyand willing to come off subs (I was at .5mg a day) whenever she was ready and willing to give me something to treat the RLS during detox off subs. She gave me 4, 10 mg valiums to help a little, but ironically enough I only had the RLS the second day of my detox, and after that just extreme back pain, and weird constant hiccupping. I am still only on day 5 off the suboxone so maybe I have more symptoms to come and shouldnt speak so soon, but I definetly sympathize with your RLS fear, I would rather have the swine flu then RLS for a few days (knock on wood) LOL. Best of luch with everything :)

I've had the same problem & I have been off Suboxone for about 1 month. Some nights I'm okay, others I can't lay still. I found it helps to have my husband rub my legs. I even do it myself if he is already asleep. I've also heard that the medicine Nuerontin (generic Gabapentin) helps. I started on that 3 days ago. Out of the last 3 days, I've only had 1 night with restless legs & it was not as bad as before.

Good luck & I hope it gets better fast.
