Evey,

Most every addict relapses several times in their life. You are no different. What confuses me is you saying the Nurofen helped as your partially sighted. Codeine & Ibuprofen helps with seeing things? Or maybe I read your post wrong. IDK. I wouldn't think it would help at all with Suboxone in your system. But then, I'm not you.

The important part is that you are back on your Suboxone and being honest about your slip. Put it behind you and only look forward.

Question.

Do you want to be clean? Do you want recovery?

Or did you just not want to be sick from opiate wd?

Just asking.

Taking most all opiates is useless on suboxone. Especially codeine. Save your money and your sanity.

I guess I like to know the motivation to use other opiates here because I never crave opiates or other substances while taking suboxone. So I don't understand and really want to. My sponsor and I talk about this alot.

But. Aside from this slip. Have you done anything to help pull yourself out of this?

Yes. Sorry. Your sanity.

You are obviously an addict. We got that.
But continuing to use "because you want to" despite any consequences is insane.

And it will only get worse.

I just think you are trying to get clean to keep someone else at bay because you still want to use opiates.

And all this tale of emotions and sad times and nobody understands why you use is all boiled down to... You just want to take opiates.

You said it yourself. You wanted to get high. So you just said forget any of that getting better... I want to get high.

Suboxone just allows you to think a little better in this situations. You don't NEED to use. So. Using is just because you want to. That's that.

But good luck to you. I hope all turns out well. I won't try to reason anymore. Good day.

Hey Evey,

I get what MovieMaker is trying to say. I think the issue here is that you haven't really decided if you want to be sober yet. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but it seems like you are in treatment only because you have been forced there. You are angry that you can't use anymore, and sad that you don't have that old feeling of being high to cope with things any longer. Unfortunately, I don't think it's ever going to get any better for you if you don't come to accept your addiction and get to the point where you really want to be sober.

As for nobody understanding what you are going through...that is completely wrong. Most of us have been there, and know that feeling of sadness, anger and fear all to well. The difference is that we have accepted that living in active addiction was not what we wanted anymore and were willing to do what it took to get better. Dealing with cravings, and even relapsing is part of the process for many people. But you have to move forward from here. Starting now you must resolve not to use anymore and be willing to work the program and be honest with your counselors and let them help you through it. Don't beat yourself up over it...just move forward.
