Hi everyone! I've been on Suboxone for 1 year and recently decreased my dose to 1/16 of a 2mg strip (yep, those are very tiny pieces). I felt the need to use again when I did this and broke down and bought some hydros. I took 24 7.5's within 3 days, taking the last one this past Thursday night. I'm going to my sub dr for a refill Friday, and he'll give me my monthly drug test. It will have been 7 days after my last hydro dose. Please tell me they won't show on the drug screen? Sheesh! What was I thinking!? I was so angry at myself for doing it too and didn't really enjoy it like I used to.

Everyone says the samething, "it wasnt that good at all"..
Red, how bout coming clean with the Dr. ? Just be honest with them. Is this possible?
It wouldnt be easy to do, and im amazed at how low you dropped your dose.
Idk really if you would be clean on a ua , someone else could weigh in here, but if at all possible
honesty could be the best thing...

I'm so afraid I'll get kicked out of the program though. The strips have worked well for me and I love my life now that I'm free of the pills. Ahhhh!!!

Your free of painpills now?, ya just took some...ok, I get it, no judgements here.
now your slip or lapes is over, right?, well it back on the horse as they say.

Your say will kick you out?, if you Lie To Them, They will Kick You Out Red..
Right? Its one an done at your drs office or clinic?
Your life has improved on Bupe I asume, and you want to keep moving forward .
You slipped up. Ok, wer addicts, it happens, but not being truthful will show them addict behavior.
How loug have you bn in treatment? Do they know you are on such a low dose?
How loug have ya bn on a low dose?
Your craving s came back, so you used instead of taking more bupe?
So sorry for the third degree, tryn to understand how you got to this point.
Again not judging here Red, glad you came here to ask.

idk, if you want to roll the dice on your treatment,ok, you could go to a drugstore and buy a home drug testing kit.
that way you would know...maybe that would help too...razor

It's not an easy predicament, Red. It will be a full week between your last hydro and the test? My best guess is that it takes 3 or 4 days for hydro to clear your system. However, I'm not completely sure about that and it probably depends, in part, on how fast your metabolism is.

Did your doctor give you any guidance on what would happen if you slipped up? For example, if a sub patient of my doctor test positive for marijuana 3 months in a row the patient will be let go. But if someone has a slip, they are encouraged to speak up and that won't get you kicked out of the program.

Razor has brought up a lot of good points. I'm definitely a proponent of honesty in most situations, but if the doctor is a real hard case it's a tough decision. At the very least, if you are only diagnosed 1/16th of a 2mg strip per day, you need to let your doctor know that you have cravings for your d.o.c. at that dose. Your dose needs to be raised! At least that part of the truth needs to be told.

Amy
