Hello all. I'm a former member who thought I had it all figured out. I could save money by shooting tiny fractions of a normal dose. Obvious addict mentality.
Then when members called me on my bs; I decided I didnt need suboxone at all.
My unwillingness to admit I'm powerless over my addiction got me a big fat relapse. I went back to heroine.

Its been about year since then, and Ive made the firm decision to take suboxone the right way because I just can't anymore. I'm in my mid 30's and feel like life is passing me by...

I don't feel like typing much today but thats the gist..

I have my suboxone now, and holding them brought back memories and feeling I had when I was on this forum before. Do I'm back, with my tail between my legs. I'm beaten down and admit my mistakes.

Yesterday, when I picked up my script I dosed about 12 hrs after last hit of heroin. Went into pw....still in pw but its better than being in full withdrawal. Anybody know if taking a little more, or splitting my doses would help or should I just take the dose 24 hrs??

Hi HL,
Welcome back and congratulations on deciding to come back. I know how bad you feel so I will give my short and sweet experience. I started on Suboxone 12 hours after my last use and had the pw just like you described...not full blown but bad enough. I cut my dose and felt much better but I will add the side note that my doctor gave me the go ahead to "figure out what works best" for me until my next appointment and then we adjusted accordingly
Good luck and hope you get some much deserved relief soon

Welcome back, howlow!

We've all been there, at least I know I have. It took me a few tries to get the maintenance thing down. At least your back and off of heroin for now.

Question, you say you got PWs but not as bad as full blown WDs. I'm confused because PWs are usually full blown withdrawals hitting you like a freight train all at once. PWs are like the worst kind of withdrawals.. ever. What are your symptoms? I induced from heroin several times and while I never got PWs, I never felt quite right either. It's like you're still kind of sick from not having a heroin fix, but not full blown withdrawals. Is that how you feel? If so.. that's not PWs. It's just a crappy feeling while you adjust to having a lesser opiate in your system while it builds up. I did get PWs from a methadone induction and I can tell you, if I had a gun, I would have ended it.. it was that bad.

I could be wrong, and maybe you have gone into precipitated withdrawals, but your description confused me a bit and I wanted to clarify.

What dose of sub are you on now?
