Hello! I was wondering if someone could give me some advice? I've been on suboxone for 5 years, and I'm ready to be done. Up until about a week and a half ago I was taking 8 milligrams. Since then I've been taking less than 2 mg. I have certainly been uncomfortable. Hot, cold sweats, chills, some stomach discomfort, headache, anxiety, not a lot of sleep. I have since ordered elimidrol and it has helped enormously! Am I hurting myself by taking that 2 mg or less? Should I just quit that as well, or will I feel worse? Any info or personal experience would be appreciated!

I would taper down, but you can do it from where you are many have, Its how bad you want it. I feel you symptoms will be far less coming off 0.5 or less, see the sticky at the top diaryofaquiter it helped me a lot. It talks about a liquid taper to get you doses right and even. I don't know if I could have able to do this without that post. I am on day 9 clean, stopped at .3mg after a week.

Congratulations! Glad to here you're on day 9! I will check out the liquid tAper. I'm just so over this! I'm sure you know what I mean. I don't want to taper and every time I go down, be on it for 8 weeks. I truely feel I'm somewhat my old self on this lower mg.

Hello Zheat!
That sounds like a pretty fast taper, but if you can handle it, great job! I tapered from 12mg to .5 (day 4 at this dose), but it has taken me about 5 months. I also have not had any bad withdrawls (so far).
You'll find lots of great advice on this forum, and I have found it a great support system.
Keep posting!
