I've got a couple questions and hoping someone could answer even just one of them.
I would greatly appreciate it!
They aren't pertaining to subutex, however since I am on the subs, I know that my baby and I will be drug tested.

So my first question is about the meconium testing. I've smoked marijuana maybe five times since being pregnant and only like 2-3 hits each time. Would this show up in the meconium test or is it just regular use that shows up?
(Although I'm not expecting any negative feedback, I will just say that I realize this wasn't the wisest of choices. I had horrible nausea and felt like more damage was being done by me not being able to eat or keep down what little bit I could eat. Nothing else worked and I tried other things. I practically ate Zofran like it was candy!)

And my other question.. Has anyone ever heard of Afrin causing a false positive for amphetamines or ecstasy? I came across a website that says it can and I use Afrin everyday! I darn sure don't want the test to show either drug! Especially with my past, they'd never believe it was anything but meth or X. Here's the website if anyone is interested.. it has a list of different things that can cause a false positive on drug tests.

Again, if anyone could help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it!
Thanks in advance :)

Congrats on your pregnancy, how many weeks are you?

When was the last time you used MJ? I don't think babies start making meconium until the 2nd trimester, around 4 or 5 months, I think. If you really only used it handful of times, I wouldn't worry about it too much. I know that's easier said than done, though. As for afrin, I believe there are a few things that can help aid in false positives, so I wouldn't be surprised.. but I think it's pretty rare. Depending on how much time you have left, you should just stay away from anything that could help cause trouble with CPS.

Why do you use Afrin everyday? It causes rebound congestion and can just make you worse, and the method is habit forming. Can you stop using afrin?

Hi tiny. Thanks for responding. I am currently 33 weeks pregnant. The last time I used mj was about 2 weeks ago. I've only used it twice since 22 weeks and again, only because of the nausea.
As for the Afrin, I never used it before pregnancy but once I became pregnant I started having horrible nasal congestion. It's gotten worse since about the middle of my second trimester. I know that it causes rebound congestion, but it's the only thing that seemed to help me breathe. I only use it once a day, well night. The moment I lay down for bed, I cant breathe, but I'm sure I could stop using it. I know I need to.
As for it causing a false positive, I'm not TOO concerned. But I was surprised by this. Surely it wouldn't show a false+ for the baby. I mean, my monthly drug test at the sub Dr have always been clean. Even with the mj- because it's been that small of an amount.
I will be refraining from any Mj use, too. I am hoping that little bit won't show and if it does, maybe they'd be able to tell it wasn't much. I hope so!
Anyway, thanks again for responding! I appreciate it :)
