Hi everyone, I hope everyone is doing well. For those of you that are new here, my name is Queenie. I am the grandmother of the forum. I turned 72 2 weeks ago. I have been on Subs for 4 years and my dr. feels I should stay on the indefinitely. I started at 32 mgs a day. I was hooked on opiates due too many surgeries in which I lost both my legs due to illness. When you have 2 amputations and 6 bypasses you get a lot of medication and that is what led to my addiction. I am on 8mgs daily now and I see my dr. every 6 months.

I haven't forgotten any of you and for those I don't know, Please. hang in there. Don't give up the fight. Stay on your Subs and fight that temptation with all you've got. I love all of you and if you need to talk, I'm here. I will check in everyday.

Love to all of you,
Queenie

Well hello Queenie! !
So glad to hear from you this evening. Hope all is well with you.
I love it when someone from a few years back pops in.
Ive been around almost 4 years, but joined back in the spring of 2012.
I like what you said about fighting the fight. Thats what i intend to do too..
Recovery and being on sub was an is the best thing i could have done for myself
and seeing how other lives have changed for the better also....

Best to you, and come back soon Queenie. .

My mommy would have been 72 on November 12th! I've been missing her a lot this year. I like feeling like I have replacement moms here and there in my life, including you, Queenie. :)

Thank you for checking in and offering your support!

Love,
Amy

We've only "met" briefly here on the forum Queenie, but I'm glad to hear that you're doing well. Your message to keep fighting and stay on your subs if they're helping you stay clean and live better, is one that many don't hear enough. Thanks for that. ♡

Hi Rule, Amy & Lizzie, I sure is good hearing from you too. I will never stop checking in. You guys are my special friends and were there for me so the least I can do is write a few lines and if I can help anyone I will feel so good.
Kisses, Queenie
