Hi everyone, it's queen. I hope everyone is doing fine. I am glad to report that I am o.k. I am on 8mgs. of Sub a day. Imagine, I started at 32mgs. and in 4 yeras tapered down to 8. I think this is the best way to do it. I see my doctor every 6 months. He gives me refills(he trusts me). My insurance pays for all but $10.00 every refill.

All of my old friends here mean so much to me. If you don't know me, I am the grandmother of the forum. I am 72 years old. I had both my legs amputated & lots of surgeries to try to save them and that led to my addiction to painkillers of all kinds. Dilaudid, morphine, oxy, percocet, you name it.

All I can say is Suboxone saved my life. For those struggling. Don't give up. Don't give in to the drugs. It's not worth it. I wish you all the best and I love you with all my heart.
Take care of yourselves.
Love, Queenie

Hi Queenie,
It's nice to hear from you! You had posted on a "over 50" thread of mine.
I had a neighbor who was a double amputee and he had what he called "phantom" pain. You would think you still had the limbs and that would cause the pain. That is just crazy!
Anyways, just wanted to say hi
Happy

Hi Queenie, I am fairly new here but absolutely agree with your analogy! So nice to hear that you are at 8mgs and doing well. I am at 8 as well after starting last August at 24 mgs. My goal was to be off by this August but that is not going to happen. Now I am just trying to take it one day at a time!
