Hi y'all!
I've been on subutex for almost 2 months. I've always used the same pharmacy which was in the city where I lived and where the doctor I see is. Approximately 2 weeks ago we moved about an 1.5 away due to my husband's job and today d the first time I've seen my doc since and I plan on starting with him. He gave me a paper Rx today so I could find a pharmacy closer to home for my ease. Will I have trouble filling the prescription since it's from an out of town doc? I did tell my doc the pharmacy I plan on using (small local one) and he's going to call then today just to let them know I'm coming in. Just wondering if anyone else has had experiences with this? I know many have to drive to set their sub doctor.

Hi! I went through the same thing, moved 1.5 hours away and kept my doc. I had absolutely no problem with filing in my new town, maybe if it were a different state there would be an issue.

Thank you for your reassurance! I did not have any troubles either and my new pharmacy was extremely accommodating and very friendly. I'm really thankful that it wasn't a problem to get a refill and to find such a great pharmacy!

MrsSpencer- I'm curious if you'd be willing to share what pharmacy you went to, as I looked up Dr. Wells yesterday, since he would be a little cheaper than my current doc. I work in Montgomery, so Huntsville isn't that far away. I use Greenspoint Pharmacy off I-45/Greens Rd. now. Does Dr. Wells just take walk ins? I think you said people start coming in around 7am? If you don't want to share on the forum, and if you're willing maybe you could send me a PM. If not, thanks for the info anyway about the doc (mine is retiring in about a year or so, so I'm just trying to be prepared by looking ahead).
