This question is primarily for the Suboxdoc.

A little background about me:

I can't take Morphine because it makes me very anxious, hyper, itchy, fast heart rate and my throat would feel like it's closing up making it hard to swallow. I found out that I was sensitive or allergic to Morphine in 2002, when I was given Morphine after I had a Cervical diskectomy and fusion. Since I found this out--I have made it clear on my medical records that I can't take Morphine.

Prior to my induction onto Suboxone (on 3/15), I was taking Hydrocodone on and off for 10 years and it never gave me the side affects that Morphine did. Now being on Suboxone I am having the same symptoms that I had with Morphine except not as severe. It seems like the more the drug builds up in my body the worse the symptoms are becoming. Currently I am taking 12 mg of Suboxone per day. My symptoms are:

Anxiety
Hyperactivity (or Mania if you will)
Itching and Picking (along with an acne type rash on face and upper trunk)
Increased heart rate (114 beats per minute--resting)
pain in my chest (not all the time--but sometimes)
Difficulty with my throat feeling like there is something in there so I constantly try to clear it but doesn't go away.
The feeling of panic.

I am going to cut down on my dose starting today to 8mg to see if these symptoms will go away until I can get to my doctor this coming Thursday. Until then, I wanted to get your opinion of what is happening with me and if this has been a problem for others that are sensitive to Morphine.

Thank you
