Hi

I have been on Suboxone for about a year (14mg a day). I constantly shop around for the best price because i have no insurance. I started out at Freds pharmacy at about 7 bucks a tab (8mg) last fall. Then they went to $9 so I moved my script to another pharmacy to keep it under $8. Now this past week that pharmacy claims they have had a price increase and are selling them to me at their cost $9.30 each!! a increase of $2 EACH in 1 week...OUCH. Today I shopped around from Ft. Smith, Arkansas all the way down to Texarkana, AR and that is the cheapest I can find...the highest was $14 each, Since i pay Cash I usually buy them 10 or so at a time.

Same price for Tabs or Film...No difference.

Does anybody else heard of a price Increase in OK or AR??

Or Is this a fair price that I am gonna have to get used to???

That is utterly ridiculous! It proves this company doesn't care about helping addicts as they claim. I also no longer have insurance, but fortunately my doc writes generic subutex which isn't all that cheap either.

Great job, just released yesterday huh?

Makes sense...But unless I read it worong (Been up 5min)..The pharmacists I spoke with said the price increase was across the board on both Tabs & Film. Not just tabs.

Still cheaper than using but I may have to get back on my benzo's to deal with the stress of paying for them. ;-)

Thanks

Amber,

How did you ever find that? Wow, you are really good at digging up articles about Bup. Great work!

And to the original poster. Do you have a Walmart there? The price is rock bottom at my Walmart but you saw the wholesale price so it's gonna cost no matter what.

Have you tried to get on the assistance program? Dr.'s are allowed three patients to get their meds for free but it is hard to find one that has an opening. Give it a try if you haven't already. Go to NAABT.org to see if they have more info on it.

I wish you success on your quest for low prices.

Just so everyone knows,

I DO HAVE the information on Reckitt Benckisser's Patient Assistance Program

MY year, just ended On the first of october.

so, I have the phone number, fax #, ETC.....

YOU HAVE TO HAVE YOUR DOCTOR CALL FIRST............the dr. calls to 'verify' with someone on the phone, that they do not have THREE patients on the program. . after that, you can have the application mailed or faxed to you.
You fill out your part,
along with proof of income, they prefer last yr's taxes, but I used paystubs when I applied, and they had NO problem with that.
then, your doctor fills out the bottom portion,
and you fax or mail it in.
They've recently changed the "application'' process, to only processing a certain number per month. so, NOW
the "wait time'' can be up to a month/six weeks.

Anyways, if anyone would like more information or has any questions,,,,

Dont hesitate to PM me.
I'll do the best I can.
this program allowed me to save $550 a month, for TWELVE MONTHS.
in the mean time, I got on my feet, for sure. not to mention 7 grand worth of dental work I NEVER would have been able to afford, had I not got on this.

Amber,

You need to make a permanent message about the assistance program so you could just paste it into a new members thread. That question or problem is very large so it would be a big help.

Would you please go look at the Introductions section and post it there for a new member named Ben? Thanks so much. I was going to copy and paste yours but figured you'd probably beat me to it.

Cyber Hug ((( )))
