The rules for employment in the medical field vary from state to state, but based on what I've read, before you are tested, you'll be asked what prescription drugs you take, and the info about them. Then if you test negative for all the other drugs tested for, it should be considered passed. As long as you have a legal valid prescription for it, it shouldn't count against you. The lab is only speed to tell your potential employer that you tested negative for all illegal substances, and isn't supposed to disclose your private medical information' ie; your prescriptions. You may find more information at your state's medical assistant board's website. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I am sorry so many of us have to worry about a prescription medication! If you tell the lab as lizzie said you should be ok. Maybe bring you box/bottle with you to show the lab your honestly scripted sub.

Good Luck, I hope you get the job!!
