Hi everyone!! Im soooo scared and freaking out right now. I have a few questions and IF ANYONE WHO HAS ANY INFO FOR ME OR HAS WENT THROUGH A SIMILAR EXPERIENCE I WOULD APPRECIATE IT SOOOO MUCH! My head hurts from thinking and worring. Ok here it goes...My first question is: I have been taking Suboxone my entire pregnancy. I have not had the choice to be open and honest with my doctor (ob/gyn) due to the fact NO SUB clinic will take me as a paient. My husband goes to a clinic and i share his subs. I want to know if the epidural will be effictive for me throught-out the whole labor process?? (the most i take a day is 2mg in the am and 1-2 mgs in pm) There's some days i only take the give or take 2mgs. These are the strips by the way! I normaly don't allow it to sit under my tounge for the whole time either i spit it out. My second question is IF the baby goes through w/ds what should my husband and i look for?? If a c-section is needed will i be ok?? I found out yesterday i am being induced Wednsday (tommorw) 2/8/12 @ 5:30 pm. I only took 2mgs this morning and if i need the other 1-2 mgs tonight i will take it but I DO NOT INTENED on taking ANYTHING tommorw morning seeing i am being induced. I have read a lot of other stories in this section of this blog but most women are on subutex NOT suboxone. Are there any women who have been through what im going through while on suboxone (orange tabs/strips)?? How was your labor with the epidural?? DID IT WORK?? When sould i start taking the subs again??? right after delivery?? ANY HELP RIGHT NOW WOULD BE SOOOOOOO APPRECIATED!! I feel like a ass for taking this while pregnant but i have to say i'd rather be on the low dose of sub and not opiates!! Opiates ruined my life!! Thanks for taking the time to read this♥
-Laura- :?  :?: :?: :!:

I sent you a PM but I have been there and was on more sub a day then you. You need to educate yourself as quickly as possible about NAS, that way if something is wrong you know ways to soothe the baby and if things are TOO bad you know when to say something to the docs. Most friends and people I know who have had babies on subs things turned out just fine and if there are symptoms they are very mild. My baby had excessive sneezing and a little bit of tight muscles in her arms but that went away as soon as it came and she has been happy and healthy since. Don't beat yourself up, you did what you thought was best for baby. Good luck !
