Was searching a subox taper blog and saw some info on phenibut . From what I could gather , it aids in sleep acts as a tranqulizer. Does anybody here have experience with this stuff. I have not yet begun my taper, but I am trying to get as much info before hand , so I can be prepared.

I would be grateful for any info this community can give me.

Peace and Thanks,

B.

I don't think it's a good idea.

I knew someone who was a GHB addict who used phenibut to try to ease them off the "juice". They said quitting the phenibut was just as hard as getting off the GHB, maybe even worse.

Plus ain't you a bit tired of using a drug to get you off a drug that you're using to get you off a drug?

Which in-turn will turn into looking for other drugs, to get you off the drug of the drug you used to stop taking such drugs, putting you back at square drug one.

( Haha )

Yes, Gabatrol, or phenibut, as it is sometimes called, is prob. one of the most active OTC pseudo-benzo's available.

Yes, it will help WD's, but in saying that, it will no doubt extend them, if not used extremely carefully.

Your prob. just delaying the inevitable, with this stuff, and risk further addiction, as it is so easily available.

To be honest, any supplement, drug, just makes you feel worse than riding it out ala natural.
There are also exceptions, to every rule.

A notable excpetion, is that a 2 week taper on phenibut, will help, if you have thle strength to stop, and for only during the first two weeks, being the hardest, and the time, when sleep, is almost impossible to find.

I would also like to say, that we all have opinions, and It would be impressive to see us all proven wrong, as this could potentially help others.

Dr Junig, is also curious about Phenibut, so, lets not close the door, to quick on this puppy.

The first time I got off of subs I jumped from 8mg and took Phenibut. I had to take 3g just to have any effect at all and it did taste like a bag off smashed ASS!!!!! Lol. It did make me sleep better than I have ever slept before...and I was detoxing at the time too! I was too afraid to take It more than 2x a week (and never two days in a row) bc of the withdrawal from it being hellish. I found that this last time when I got off subs once and for a. 2 weeks ago... I didnt bother to use it even tho I have some, just bc I didn't want to cause more issues for myself by replacing one thing w another...I have done that too many times! So basically....it is effective for sleep but it doesn't knock you out in a benzo way..at least w me...it was more of a gradual relaxed feeling and then I didnt ever rememeber falling asleep! I'm sure u know this but just in case.....
Don't redose bc it takes about 3 hours to work....start with a lower dose and work up bc some people are sensitive to it and get ill at certain doses...so where 3g was my best dose...a 200lb man may get sick as hell from that dose. And don't take 2 days in a row...best to wait 3 days between doses to be safe...which is why I didn't bother this time. Hope that helped :)
